Virtual mode, exchange testnets and Live trading
Virtual mode uses KLINEO simulated funds and activity. An exchange testnet is a separate exchange environment with its own credentials. Live mode can send orders to a real exchange account. A mode label does not make every venue or product available in that environment.

Virtual: KLINEO simulated funds

Choose the environment that matches the task
The Virtual wallet starts with $10,000 in simulated funds. Its reset is subject to a three-day cooldown; use the reset availability shown in your workspace. Virtual funds cannot be withdrawn. Trial accounts start in Virtual unless an execution-mode preference has already been saved.

Check the mode before a simulated task
Changing the workspace display to Virtual does not close real exchange positions or revoke production API keys. Manage any existing Live exposure separately. Switching into Live can clear the visible Virtual activity; record a test you need to retain before switching.
- Sign in and select Virtual in the workspace mode control. Wait for a pending mode change to finish.
- Open the product you want to test. DCA Virtual execution uses the Binance testnet path; it does not create a KuCoin sandbox or simulate every venue interchangeably.
- Check the mode again inside the product before creating a bot or trade. Inspect Orders, Positions and Trade History for the same mode.
- Keep a note of your inputs and results. Compare the simulated records with your intended conditions; do not treat a simulated profit as a forecast.
Match credentials to the exchange environment
- Binance spot and USDⓈ-M futures have separate sandbox entry points. Obtain the credentials for the market you are testing.
- KuCoin connections in KLINEO are production only. The current integration uses KuCoin Classic accounts; a Virtual wallet is not a KuCoin sandbox account.
- BloFin spot order placement is unavailable in KLINEO. BloFin futures and demo behavior are product and deployment dependent.
- TooBit testnet isolation depends on the deployment having separate testnet API URLs. Do not assume a generic Virtual connection setting guarantees TooBit sandbox isolation.
- An exchange logo or a saved connection does not prove a particular product, market, pair or environment can execute. Check the selected product and connection verification.
Review Live access before switching
A stop, pause, kill switch or mode change should never be treated as proof that an order was canceled or a position closed. Check the final status at the exchange, particularly after a timeout or connection failure.
- Check your plan and the product allowance. Live access requires a confirmed active entitlement; live workflow slots are a separate limit.
- Review open orders and positions at the exchange and check the production connection, market and permissions.
- Switch to Live and wait for the access check. If the switch is blocked, inspect your access status before trying again.
- For a workflow, review the saved version, connection, symbol eligibility and risk disclosure in its separate Live activation controls. Switching the workspace mode alone is not workflow activation.
When a mode or balance looks wrong
- Wrong balances: compare the selected mode, saved connection environment, exchange market and account type.
- Connection verification fails: check for a sandbox/production credential mismatch and use the exchange-specific guide.
- Live stays locked: wait for the access check and inspect the current plan or expiry. Repeatedly clicking does not change entitlement.
- Virtual reset is unavailable: inspect the next reset time. The cooldown and the simulated wallet are separate from real exchange funding.
